How enrolment with CSOL works — from free placement test to your first class.
These Enrolment Terms apply when you apply to enrol, or enrol, in any course or program offered by CSOL (Commonwealth School of Languages), part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative. They explain how enrolment works, what you can expect from us, what we ask of you and where to get help. By submitting an enrolment enquiry through this website or accepting a place in a CSOL course, you agree to these terms together with our Fees and Refunds policy and Student Code of Conduct.
CSOL delivers General and Academic English, IELTS, PTE and OET preparation, TESOL teacher training, workplace and professional English, conversation clubs and online and evening options. Our learners include migrants and new arrivals, international students, working professionals, jobseekers and aspiring English teachers. Courses are delivered in small, supportive classes, in person and online.
Before you enrol, we ask you to complete a free placement test — about fifteen minutes — booked through our contact page. The result helps us recommend the right level and course for your goals. A placement recommendation is guidance only: it describes where we believe you should start, and you are free to discuss alternatives with our team before accepting a place.
This website does not process enrolments or payments directly — there is no online checkout. When you enquire, our team will confirm course availability, start dates, timetable and any fees in writing. Your enrolment is confirmed once you accept the written offer and any agreed fee arrangements are in place. Until then, submitting an enquiry or completing a placement test does not commit you to anything.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when you enquire and enrol, to tell us about anything that may affect your study (such as access needs or timetable constraints), to attend classes punctually and regularly, and to follow the Student Code of Conduct. If your contact details change during your course, please let us know.
We plan courses around minimum and maximum class sizes so that every learner gets attention. Occasionally we may need to adjust a timetable, change a teacher, merge classes, move a class online or reschedule a start date. Where a change is significant, we will give you as much notice as practicable and offer alternatives. If we cancel a course, the options in our Fees and Refunds policy apply.
Learning materials provided during your course — printed or digital — are for your personal study use. They remain the intellectual property of CSOL, CAQA Groups or their licensors and must not be copied for others, resold or published without written permission.
If you need to defer your study, withdraw from a course or cancel an enrolment, contact us as early as possible. The financial consequences — including any refund or credit — are set out in our Fees and Refunds policy, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
CSOL provides English-language training and test preparation. We are not migration agents and do not provide visa, migration or immigration advice; those decisions rest with the Department of Home Affairs and should be discussed with a registered migration agent. We also cannot guarantee a particular IELTS, PTE or OET score, admission to any institution or employment outcome — see our Course Outcome Disclaimer.
Personal information collected during enquiry and enrolment is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
