What CSOL courses can — and cannot — promise about test scores, visas, admissions and jobs.
This Course Outcome Disclaimer applies to every course, program, placement test, mock test, practice resource and piece of study advice offered by CSOL (Commonwealth School of Languages), part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative, and to all information published on this website. Please read it before enrolling in any CSOL course, because it explains what our training can do for you — and what no English school can honestly promise.
CSOL provides structured English-language teaching, test preparation and teacher training: General and Academic English, IELTS, PTE and OET preparation, TESOL teacher training, workplace English and conversation practice. We teach in small classes, give individual feedback, run realistic mock tests and coach you in the strategies each test rewards. Good teaching genuinely improves your preparation — but the outcome of any test, application or decision made by another organisation is never in our control.
Participation in a CSOL course does not guarantee that you will achieve a particular IELTS, PTE, OET or other test score. IELTS, PTE Academic and OET are owned, administered and scored by independent testing bodies, not by CSOL. Your result depends on many factors, including your starting level, attendance, practice outside class, health and performance on test day. Mock test results and teacher estimates are indicative guidance only and do not predict or promise an official result.
Completing a CSOL course does not guarantee any visa outcome. CSOL is not a migration agency, our staff are not registered migration agents, and nothing on this website or said in class is migration advice. Visa decisions are made solely by the Department of Home Affairs under its own rules. If you need advice about a visa, consult a registered migration agent or the Department directly.
Achieving an English score is only one part of admission to a university, college or professional program. Each institution and professional body sets its own entry requirements and makes its own decisions. CSOL cannot guarantee that any institution will accept your application, recognise a particular score or grant credit.
Our courses — including TESOL teacher training and workplace English — build skills that employers value, but they do not guarantee employment, promotion, professional registration or a particular salary. CSOL TESOL certificates confirm completion of our training; recognition of any certificate varies between employers, industries and countries, and you should check the requirements of any employer or regulator you are targeting before enrolling.
Content on this website, in our newsletters and in free resources is general information prepared without knowledge of your individual circumstances. It is not legal, migration, financial or professional advice. Before making decisions that depend on an English test result — such as booking a test date, lodging a visa application or accepting a job offer — confirm current requirements with the relevant testing body, institution or authority, because their rules change from time to time.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our commitments about the quality of the training we deliver — and your remedies if we fall short — are described in our Fees and Refunds policy.
